Starting our adventure at 6a.m on "El Fin DEL Mundo", we left Cuzco via uno taxi loco for 20 Soles (8 or so US) to start a series of visits to the Sacred Sites of Peru. We figured, to gain the most of the Galactic Alignment's Solstice Energy on Dec. 21, We should head to as many Sacred, Agriculturally important and Religiously Monumental Structures as feasible. We (Me and 1 friend) tried to enter the 1st site, Saqsayhuaman, but had only US dollars, and not enough Soles. The unreasonable guards would not take extra money for exchange and we could not afford to go back to the city! Syncronistiy is the Name of the Game in these Changing Energy Times, so we decided to stand around and wait for a miracle.
El Boleto Turistico Del Cusco pulls up with a group of Americans on a Bus Tour....SCORE! We get 2 Free passes to EVERY (16) SITE around the area! After checking out the enormous remains of the 3 largest levels of ruins the Spaniards did not use to rebuild their entire civilization, and playing my "Be Heady" Custom made Star Seed Tongue Drum, we left to go to 1 of our 2 main Interests, Pisac..
We found a driver who said they could drive us around all day for 80 Soles. That is an amazing deal. It would have been 320 Soles for the free pass we gained, so 80 Soles was great. A 45 minute drive to the amazing trading center of Pisac brought us to a variety of Hand-Made Alpaca Goods, A crazy variety of Gems, Minerals, and Sacred Medicinal Plants fresh and available! Pedro went nicely for the day-trip and the espresso was a fine finish to the murkey green swamp water which was lunch! Now to the Main Attraction: Moray!
Moray is the Agricultural Center of the Entire Inca Culture! The different levels of land were science in action! Humidity , temperature, pressure and conditional differences were methodically utilized; Is this the End...the Beginging of GMO's?? Weird thoughts circulate the Head as the enormous scene morphs slowly around you giving the most unique feeling of being in a Greek Theater where the scale and magnitude of the Scene Give you a Shift in Perception!! I bring my StarSeed to the Center of the Orbular Landscape and play the most intense Heart-Song to Pachamama as the Sun is setting right around the time 4:20 p.m. Thank God the 3 Germans heard me from the top and came to the rescue...we saved the Earth on December 21, 2012, Giving her ALL of our Heart...The Germans saved our Heads afterwards!!
Synchronistic as it may be; At the End of the World is a Giant BillBoard Reading "1,000,000 Trees for Maras: We Care About Our Environment" I thought I would be getting far away from my own ideas in another country, and find myself face to face with a Spanish Version of my Project! I started in 2011, just like on the BB, and Now I have an End Date of 2014. Thanks for letting me know to hurry up Peru!
Speeding outta Moray like the Andes were erupting, we head to The Sacred Valley, Ollantaytambo. We graciously give the driver $120 US...about triple the negotiated price. His face was worth it! We head specifically to the Albergue Hotel and Restaurant for their AMAZING Organically grown feast. We HAD to come back for the ambience! The in-house harp player can bring tears to your eyes. I am now famous in their on-line Vimeo Video, staying a week prior and enjoying EVERYTHING the Inn has to offer, Check out the awesome mountain and river views this place boasts....After running a Bed and Breakfast on Mount Snow, Vermont the last 4 years, I can tell you this place is AMAZING!!!!
We finish off our long journey with an hour bus ride back to a hostile in Cuzco. We decided long ago that a hostile is judged based on whether or not the toilet has a toilet seat. Hot water is a luxury, toilet seats are a necessity. The adventure was incredible, and this was just 1 day; We rented a car the next day to Bolivia, but that is a Whole other Heady Adventure!
